Are you planning one last trip before school starts? The long, summer days are quickly ending. Soon, school, sports, and other commitments will fill your schedule. End-of-summer travel can be a perfect way to make the most of the warm weather before fall arrives. Here are some ideas that I have on my travel bucket list.

Beach Destinations

1. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina – Known for its wide beaches, golf courses, and family-friendly attractions.
2. Outer Banks, North Carolina – Offers beautiful beaches, historic sites, and outdoor activities like kayaking and fishing.
3. Malibu, California – Famous for its stunning coastline, surfing spots, and scenic hiking trails.

Mountain Getaways

1. Asheville, North Carolina – Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, it’s perfect for hiking, visiting the Biltmore Estate, and enjoying local arts and crafts.
2. Lake Tahoe, California/Nevada – Offers a mix of beach and mountain activities, including hiking, boating, and exploring charming lakeside towns.
3. Smoky Mountains, Tennessee/North Carolina – Great for scenic drives, wildlife spotting, and exploring nature trails.

City Escapes

1. San Diego, California – Known for its beaches, parks, and the famous San Diego Zoo.
2. Seattle, Washington – Offers a mix of outdoor activities and city attractions, including Pike Place Market and nearby national parks.
3. Chicago, Illinois – Enjoy the city’s lakefront, museums, and vibrant food scene.
