I do love to travel out of state. But, I also have a love affair with my home state of Michigan. There is so much to see and visit. Day trips, a weekend get away, or an afternoon exploring, there is always something to do. Michigan offers a variety of travel options to enjoy the end of summer.   1. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore: Go kayaking, hiking, or take a scenic boat tour. I highly recommend the scenic boat tour. There is so much to see, the tour guide provides information about the waterfalls, and the rock formations. It is a beautiful site.
  2. Tahquamenon Falls State Park: Hike to see the impressive waterfalls and enjoy the surrounding nature.
  3. Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park: Explore the wilderness with its scenic trails, waterfalls, and Lake of the Clouds.

  1. We loved Sleeping Bear and hiking the dunes! Need to get back up that way again as we visited during COVID for our first time.
